As TÜRKTAV, we are proud to participate in the World Library and Information Congress – 89th IFLA General Conference and Assembly, held under the theme “Uniting Knowledge, Building the Future”. Our participation takes place within the framework of the “Otyrar” and “Turcology” Digital Library projects of the Turkic World.
This year’s Congress brings together more than 1,600 delegates from 114 countries. The global library community is led by Vicki McDonald, Director General of the State Library of Queensland (Australia) and President of IFLA.
The IFLA Congress is the most significant international event in the field of librarianship. It serves as a platform to improve service quality, promote innovative technologies, and strengthen the role of libraries in global society.
Founded in 1927 in Edinburgh, Scotland, IFLA is the world’s largest professional association in the field of librarianship. Its headquarters are located at the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (National Library of the Netherlands) in The Hague. The organization brings together the international community to collect and share best practices, coordinate services, and facilitate the global exchange of knowledge and information.
